After weeks of partying with bands and fans, The Pink Logs decided to take a well-deserved Labor Day weekend vacation. Where did they end up, you may ask? The Pink Logs headed straight for Central America, Belize to be exact. Here are a few pictures of their trip that they were willing to share. As you can see, they had a blast and know how to relax in style!

Dido - Look No Further (Sony/BMG)
It's been five long
years since we've heard new music from Dido, but now we finally we
get a taste of what she's been working on. Her third album, Safe
Trip Home, is scheduled to be released on November 4th as she
began recording the album in October 2005. Dido divided her time
recording the album in London and in Los Angeles with producer Jon
Brion. Reported collaborations include Brian Eno (Roxy
Music), Mick Fleetwood (Fleetwood
Mac), Rollo Armstrong (Faithless),
?uestlove (The
Roots) and Matt Chamberlain (Tori
Amos/Fiona
Apple). The first single is "Don't Believe in
Love" and will be available at radio on September 16th
but for a brief time available on www.didomusic.com,
"Look No Further" is available for free. Take a listen and get
ready for the return of Dido.

IAMX -
Spit It Out
IAMX is the
side-project of Sneaker
Pimps co-founder Chris
Corner, whose solo work takes a decidedly different
turn, with songs devoted to such subjects as bizarre sexual
encounters, drugs, death, bisexuality, obsession, alienation and
decadence...though not necessarily in that order. Combine that with
Corner's outlandishly androgynous, dandified stage attire and the
whispering soon began in the musician's native UK; however, he
insists his solo work is no reflection upon his private life, instead
deeming it a "quasi-act" a la David
Bowie's Ziggy Stardust or Marilyn
Manson's Mechanical Animals alter-ego Omega.
Corner released the first IAMX album, the provocatively titled Kiss
& Swallow, in 2004 and enjoyed success with the songs
"Missile" and the title track. The second IAMX album, The
Alternative, was released in Europe in the spring of 2006 but
didn't receive a proper North American release until June 2008,
through Metropolis Records. Over the years IAMX has collaborated with
a wide variety of fellow musicians, including Sue Denim and Dee Plume
from Robots
in Disguise, James Cook from Nemo
and both halves of the hit British sitcom "The
Mighty Boosh," Noel Fielding and Julian Barratt.
Check out the video to "Spit It Out" and see what the madness is
all about.

PANEL PUTS ON THEIR
"DANCING CHOOSE": Big Apple-based hipster darlings TV on the
Radio receive lots of love from the Mediaguide Alternative Specialty
panel, resulting in their new single "Dancing Choose" bowing atop
the Song chart this week. It helps their upcoming album, Dear
Science (Touch and Go/Interscope, out September 23), to a No.3
showing on the Album end. TVOTR launches a tour in support of the new
disc on Friday in the Pacific Northwest and Canada, culminating in
performances at San Diego's Street Scene and San Francisco's
Treasure Island festival. Then, after a whirlwind week-long jaunt
through Europe, they resume touring the U.S. in early October. Full
dates can be found at www.tvontheradio.com.
Also enjoying a smashing debut on the Song chart this week are L.A.
alt-rockers Shiny Toy Guns, who check in at No.2 with new number
"Ricochet," featuring the dulcet vocal tones of new member Sisely
Treasure, who signed on with the group last month. She's featured
throughout their sophomore effort, Season of Poison
(Universal, due out in November), which itself checks in at No.4 on
the Album end. Meanwhile, despite not having a single song ranked in
the Top 20, New York City's The Walkmen ascend to the pole position
on the Album chart with You & Me (Gigantic), which
recently hit retail after a two-week exclusive run at AmieStreet.com,
where fans could order a pre-release download of the album for a mere
five bucks. Better yet, all proceeds from the sales were donated to
the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in NYC. Also making a
splash this week is sultry-voiced chanteuse Emiliana Torrini, who
makes an initial appearance on the Song side at No.6 with "Me and
Armini," the title track from her forthcoming Rough Trade release
(out September 9)
