The bad news is that there is no official newsletter this week. After working on the hushhush ATTACK! mini-mag,
attending MUSEXPO 2008 and feeling a bit "out of it" from all the margaritas and coronas from Cinco de Mayo, we felt
that the hushhush gang deserved a little break. Instead of a newsletter, we are going to share the
MUSEXPO 2008 blog.
The blog was written by Tom Maguire and John Easdale and includes pictures from John Gannon. If you weren't lucky
enough to attend this year, feel free to read and see what you have missed. The hushhush ATTACK! newsletter will be
back next week.

"TOUCH ME I'M
GOING TO SCREAM PART 2": That's the name of the number from
Louisville longhairs My Morning Jacket, which heads the Mediaguide
Alternative Specialty Song chart for the second week in a row. The
first single from the forthcoming full-length Evil Urges (ATO,
hitting shelves June 10), which further expands the act's already
eclectic sonic palette, helps the album maintain its overall No.2
position on that index, trailing only Saddle Creek's Tokyo Police
Club with Elephant Shell. Since the top song from that disc,
the former No.1 "Tessellate," currently resides at No.15 on the
Song side, it's a sure indicator that the panel is lovin' a lot
of different cuts from the album. Top debut honors on the Song chart
go to Brit superstars Coldplay, who bow at No.2 with "Violet Hill,"
which they offered to fans as a free download for seven days. The
first single from full album Viva La Vida or Death and All His
Friends (due in stores June 16 from Capitol) helps the
full-length gain a No.5 debut on the Album end. The big mover on the
Album end belongs to Brooklyn-based songstress Santogold, whose
self-titled debut (Downtown) jumps 10-3 behind increasing airplay for
the song "L.E.S. Artistes," which moves 9-7 on the Song side and
recently picked up an add at the almighty KROQ Los Angeles. Throw in
a profile in the latest issue of Rolling Stone (the one with
the skanks from "The Hills" on the cover) and it's apparent
that the trajectory will only continue upward for the talented young
artist. Other top debuts this week include NYC duo Shy Child at No.6
with "Drop the Phone," helping full-length Noise Won't Stop
(Wall of Sound/Kill Rock Stars) to a No.10 position on the Album end.
